What would you say is your most precious personal resource?
Would you say it’s the money you saved up?
Or maybe you’d say it’s your family?
I’d wager it’s your health – and yours – much like everyone else’s – is on a timer.
None of us have infinite time on this earth, and higher quality of life in what little time we have is what we’re all chasing.
The Express Entry Program
If you’ve looked into immigrating to Canada at any time since 2015, you probably noticed this new program, which can cut immigration process time by up to 50%.
This is the answer to those of you who can’t wait to have a better life.
This genius program – a brilliant new initiative by the Canadian government – benefits all parties in the immigration process.
On your end – as a candidate – your waiting time is cut significantly shorter. If that’s not enough, thanks to this program you may also get to Canada with your new job already waiting for you.
On Canada’s end – Canadian employers get a wide pool of experienced and trained workers to select from, as the government gets a pool of highly qualified immigration candidates.
Will Canada choose you?
How does it work?
This unique program requires an application much like any other Canadian immigration program, except its specific process requires 2 application rounds with short deadlines.
After the first deadline for submission – the Express Entry application submission – the Canadian government reviews all applications. The government uses a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to assign a “CRS score” – a numerical points value based on factors that can contribute to Canadian economy, such as the candidate’s age, level of education, language proficiency, and many other elements.
The application is then added to the Express Entry pool – a pool of graded applications, ready to be invited.
The Canadian government conducts a draw round twice per month.
During a draw round the applications which received the most CRS points are selected from the pool of candidates, and invited to apply for permanent residence.
Now I’d like you to take a deep breath and clear your mind.
Try to imagine: you submit your Express Entry application, and 2 weeks later you get an invitation! Can you see it?
They submitted an application 2 weeks ago
Not So Fast…
OK. You visualized it happening, but it takes a lot more than visualizing.
Imagine this: you get it all done on your own. You pay the fee and take the English test, you collect all the documents and fill in all the forms.
You hire a barrister to review your case and make sure you have all the documents to qualify.
You send it in. Nothing happens.
Weeks go by and you hear nothing. Your application was perfectly fine, It qualified. But it didn’t have enough CRS points to get the attention of anyone from the 3 immigration programs involved in this process. It goes overlooked draw round after draw round, until it gets removed from the pool.
You spent all that time and money on sending in a weak application.
What if you had someone to guide you through the process? Someone who can review your application not just to see not only if it qualifies, but also where you might have missed an opportunity to get more points, as well as instruct you on ways to gain more points?
What if you had your own immigration expert who’s dedicated to making your application stand out above the others in the pool, and be the strongest it can be?
Ready to begin?
The Express Entry program is not an immigration program. It’s more of a meta-program, containing 3 immigration programs within it:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
- Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
This means your application will get accepted if you have a valid job offer from a Canadian employer, or if you’re nominated by a province or territory, or if your application is among the top ranked applications in the pool.
Real life is not a TV show
But an invitation doesn’t mean you can get on that flight yet.
Once you receive your invitation, you will have 60 days to submit a second application to one of the 3 participating programs. This is the application for permanent residence. If you get this one right – get on that flight.
The Canadian government reviews the Permanent Residence applications that came through the Express Entry the same as they would under any other program, except much faster. Express Entry applications that get to the second stage of applications are reviewed within 6 moths or less.
What does this mean? It means that within 6 short months (or less) you can be a permanent resident! Oh, and you may already have your new job in Canada lined up. Can you imagine THAT?
Remember we talked about time earlier? Here’s your time – your precious I-can-be-living-in-Canada-by-now time.
Round 2 is Just As Important
OK, so you sent in your Express Entry application, our experts helped you maximize your points, and 2 weeks later – you got your invitation!
You quickly finalize your Permanent Resident application on your own and sent it in without missing the deadline. That’s it, right? You’re in?
6 months go by, and you hear nothing. Your Permanent Resident application wasn’t strong enough and so it was rejected.
If only you hadn’t given up halfway through…
So do you feel ready for your date with Canada now?
Then stop wasting time and get started already!
